After four years of living in Colorado, I'm moving home to Northeast Ohio, to my wonderful friends and wonderful parents/Rudi :) It's been great here but, and who knew I'd ever say this, I miss Ohio. I was so adamant on never moving back that I have to admit that nothing is impossible!
Emerson, incidentally who inspired this blog's name, is an absolute wonder. I first read him in high school and have loved him ever since. If someone can stick with me through high school, college, and post-college, that's reason enough to adore him beyond words. Therefore, it makes so much sense that after reading A Chosen Faith, I realized I'm a nitwit for not seeing sooner that I would relate to UU views. I'm extremely proud of myself for figuring this out, though; it feels phenomenal to have done this entirely on my own. Following my parents' good intentions, David Lynch, Emerson, and Bob Davis, I have found what in my heart feels truly right and therefore extraordinarily fitting.
And in a similar vein, this article about Atticus Finch being a wonderful figure. Side note: phooey with what To Set a Watchman says, this will always be Atticus. Anyway, the character (which Gregory Peck has said that out of all the characters he has played, Atticus is the one who came the closest to his own personality) is calm, kind, and understanding. What a joy he is.
